PROJECT MANAGER

Job summary

Ensure that contracts are in accordance with tender invitation and specifications.
Ensure adherence to project schedule
Prepare and ensure respect of project budget with the help of other departments, and propose solutions in the event of deviation from the original plan.
Coordinate the work with teams of each different department.
Monitor project implementation, from conception through installation.
Assume responsibility for client liaison, in charge of project management and negotiating contract terms and changes.

1- Essential tasks of the position :

Contract:
– Study contracts and ensure that the clauses of the contract are in accordance with tender invitation and specifications in collaboration with all concerned.
– Inform management of any divergence in regards to tender specifications or any clauses which constitute a risk for the company in collaboration with all concerned.
– Manage any modification to the contract in collaboration with all concerned.
– Submit and negotiate change of orders on the contract (the cost assessment part approved by company management).

Administration-customer relation :
– Maintain ongoing contact with the client.
– In charge of welcoming client when in visit, and plan visit schedules, etc.
– Prepare reports of the meetings with clients or validate those presented by collaborators.

Coordination :
– Ensure coordination between each department involved in a project (human resources, material organization and transport) in order to deliver project respecting deadlines and budgets.
– Plan, organize and complete follow up of actions to be taken during project meetings.
– Ensure customer relations regarding follow-ups, project development, and questions (along with the support of the technical team for points and questions within their expertise).
– Obtain appropriate answers from client to allow project development.

Schedule and budget:
– Follow up and ensure compliance of schedule and budget, and advise people responsible of any inappropriate excess.
– Approve project expenses.
– Perform monthly monetary forecast and ensure that contract cash flow is positive.
– Identify causes of cost overruns, providing explanations for deviations.
– Propose and apply solutions in regards to budget and schedule deviations.
– Ensure that billing is in accordance with contract terms.

Work in progress and follow-up:
-Obtain necessary licences and certifications for the execution of contract.
– Provide support & ensure technical follow-up of project in progress by regular visits at the shop, at our subcontractors and on work site.
– Ensure that the work supplied to client is in accordance with quotation.
– Assist various meetings required by the position.
– Manage different aspects of the project.
– Take pictures of work in progress, as well as once completed and installed.
– Execute post-mortem of projec.

2- Job Requirements

Education :
Bachelor’s degree in project management or relevant experience.

Experience :
Minimum of 10 years as Project Manager, including major international projects, and projects in the entertainment industry.

Corporation :
PMP Certification : an asset.

MACHINIST

Job summary

The machinist is responsible for his own set up and he operates different machine tools to produce parts made of various alloys and materials. He must produce, modify, or repair different types of parts. He may also fabricate and modify parts for machine tools or maintain industrial machines. He determines the best machining procedures according to his knowledge and experience.

1- Main tasks

Planning :
-Read the plans, diagrams and drawings to determine the procedure to use, the set-up and the machining operations that will be necessary and define the best sequence.
– Calculate dimensions and tolerances, measure and fit the elements for the machining operations

Operations :
– Adjust, use and maintain the machines under his responsibility.
– Carve, drill and grind the materials to obtain the required parts.
– Adjust and assemble the different parts.
– Do the maintenance of the measuring instruments and the machine tools.
– Make the necessary tools and templates for the requested task.

Control :
– Validate, using proper precision measuring instruments, if the dimensions and specifications are respected and accurate.
– Notify the supervisor of any irregularities in relation to the blueprints.

Education :
Machining DEP, Numerical control ASP would be an asset.

AUTOMATION DIRECTOR

Job summary

The Automation Director must actively participate, amongst members of senior management, in the development and orientation of technical and strategic choices available to our business.

He is also responsible of daily planning and smooth running of the automation department.

He must ensure that all team members are actively involved in the implementation of complex projects while meeting schedules and special specifications of each project.

The department is composed of a joint team which groups people with different educational backgrounds such as: automation, electrical, panel assembly, programming and monitoring.

1- Main

Plan & Organize: :
– Participates in business development and ensures the establishment of strategic and technological orientations.
– Decides on the strategies to apply according to the projects to be delivered making sure they meet quotes and schedules.
– Organizes and prioritizes team coordination with different departments according to business schedule.
– Takes the necessary steps to understand and meet project requirements.
– Ensures smooth running of procedures in regards to electrical and automation design.
– Ensures reliability of safety analysis regarding concepts and equipments.

SENIOR DESIGN DRAFTSMAN

Job summary

The design draftsman elaborates project concepts from the preliminary concepts contained in the technical specifications. He determines the necessary specifications for the components and materials and lists them correctly for the realisation of the drawn parts. He provides technical support in the plant and to various people involved in the project..

1- Main tasks:
– Elaborate the concepts of the projects from the preliminary concepts contained in the technical specifications, taking into account the engineering calculations and other datas.
– Elaborate the manufacturing drawings from the design plans.
– Determine the necessary specifications for the components and materials.
– List the materials needed for the manufacturing according to the drawing.
– Provide the manufacturing department with the needed technical support.
– Answer spontaneous questions and do regular visits in the factory.
– Provide technical support to the installation team and answer their questions at the best of his/her knowledge.
– Execute any other related tasks required by his/her fonctions.

AUTOMATION DEVELOPER

Job summary

The automation developer is responsible of the conception, production and commissioning of automated systems. He is in charge of the electrical and automation components selection, the architecture of the system and the effective conduct of the project. He also documents the conception, simulations, tests, commissioning and installation as a whole.

He must have proven experience in this field, be aware of the related standards and have a good sense of leadership. This person will be heavily involved in the technical side of the project and will be responsible of certain project management activities. Also, this person will have to communicate with teams from other disciplines like the mechanical conception, software conception, to develop an integrated solution.

Motion Control and PLC programmer

Job summary Developer

The PLC programmer is responsible of the design, programming and commissioning of automated systems. He is involved in the choice of architecture, design and deployment of software solutions. He must be familiar with practices in development, programming, simulation, testing and commissioning in the plant and on the installation site.

He must have proven experience in programming, leadership and the capacity to develop and implement standard engineering practices and also provide detailed documentation on the project completion. This person will be involved in the technical aspect of the project but can be responsible of certain project management aspects.

1- Main tasks
– Working in collaboration with the electrical design team, mechanical team and the customer.
– Programming motion and control modules under TwinCAT 3.
– Code maintenance under TwinCAT 3.
– Validate and test softwares under TwinCAT 3.
– Commissioning of PLC and motion systems.
– Complex motion control systems design on the basis of existing systems.
– Programming of motion control, automatons and user interface.
– Risk assessment and security system design.
– Conduct and supervise the installation and commissioning of the system.
